Overview
A concept movie poster for a neo-noir thriller, built around a single masked figure standing alone in a rain-soaked city street. The goal was a poster that reads clearly even as a small thumbnail — the way most people actually encounter movie posters now, scrolling a streaming app rather than standing in a lobby.
Design Thinking
Atmosphere carries the mood here: wet pavement, string lights, and rain compositing sit behind a single ominous silhouette, so the eye has nowhere else to go. The bold, high-contrast title lockup and tagline were tuned to stay legible against the busy city backdrop at both full size and thumbnail scale.
What This Project Practices
What I Learned
Designing for a tiny streaming-app thumbnail completely changes what 'good contrast' means compared to a full-size poster — this concept was where that lesson really landed.
